I love doing this. I've waited my entire life for the "thing" I wanted to do. What I never realized was that I gathered my skills and passions throughout the course of my life and everything I did led me to this place in time. Even when I seemed aimless and lost, depressed and struggling, I was gathering a self. When I finally leaned to trust my abilities and stop self-sabotaging, here's where I landed. Living a creative life filled with color and words. The very thing I loved when I was a little girl. xo

I am a newcomer to Substack and have barely come up for air since diving in last month. I am so inspired by people like you, and many others in this community, so many brilliant, original, sparky, open-hearted people all drawing vital support and energy from one another.
I'm going to drop my other business card here, too, since you're new and might need some guidance. I'm also a graphic designer and a Substack trainer (though the teaching isn't formal right now, I'm too busy to do it all!).

Yup, I rode a moto up to the point where I felt really happy to just be alive. That was around 3 years after I rode the Baja Blast on a learners license. Having a lot of titanium installed in my neck was a major incentive to quit. Even putting on a helmut hurt, and falling would be game over. But I did love it, briefly. You?

Hi Paula! I saw that you submitted a signup form for your new book, and I think we might want to jump on a Zoom. Because if you’re being published by SWP, Brooke and I have joined forces to create dedicate book slams for She Writes authors. I haven’t sent out a formal post yet because we just finalized the agreement and format. So I guess I want clarity as to whether you want to do a slam solo or with She Writes.
I’m assuming you’re in the Winter cohort? DM me and let me know? xo
