I started Wham! Bam! Thank You! Slam! as a way to amplify feminist voices and other marginalized populations. And yes, it’s impossible to believe that women, who comprise more than 50% of the world’s population, are marginalized, but it’s true; in almost every culture on the planet. That’s unacceptable.
I want to boost women writers on Substack and introduce them to our community of readers and fans. When WBTYS storytellers step onto our virtual stage, we get to introduce them to you, and to one another. This is how we grow.
Support free speech and daring creative expression.
Our voices mustn’t be silenced, ever.
We welcome feminists, women (cis and trans), nonbinary & intersex folks, all the people of the skin color rainbow, religion, sexual orientation, there are so many etceteras. We welcome anyone who identifies as male to support this project as generous audience members.

On February 21, 2026 at 5PM ET, we’re bringing you our second slam. YES!
We’re telling stories about love, and that could mean anything. The storytellers are calling the shots here. Savor a sampling of mushy love notes, heart-stirring, heartbreaking Dear John/Jane letters, a smattering of O.Henry irony, mixed with a soupçon of Cole Porter Anything Goes joie de vivre!
We learned so much after the first slam, My Body, My Rules. If you haven’t seen the videos yet, head on over and take a peek; the stories and the storytellers were fabulous.
For now, have a look at our line-up and buy a ticket OR take a leap of faith and become an annual paid subscriber. You’ll be able see the live event on Zoom, and then to return to the archive of stories we’re building. Individual tickets are $12 if you’re a guy…it’s that pesky wage gap thing. We call it our SIRcharge. There’s a lot of recouping to do! Everyone else pays $10.
