Never thought we’d have to fight for this again. But here we are, at least in these, our Disunited States. I’m sure we’re all wondering what insult, what assault on our personhood, we’ll have to suffer next.
We’ve already lost our right to bodily autonomy.
The right to vote? Nope. Not over RBG’s dead body. It’s the only right we have in this great country of ours. But that’s really only white people.
In 1920, when we were finally granted the PRIVILEGE of voting, we fought like hell for it. It wasn’t until the Civil Rights Act of 1964, that things started to be a little more fair…but only a little. And recently, those rights are being rolled back, too.
In the olden days we were beaten, sexually assaulted, jailed, force-fed, and diminished. But we didn’t give up. We need that fight back, now.
There are a lot of people in this country who already know what it’s like to not have equal access to voting. Because it’s never been truly equal. Never.
Women are being threatened with the withdrawal of a basic right of citizenship through the ill-concealed purpose of the “SAVE” act. Save?
Q: Save what?
A: The Orange Monstrosity’s ass when he attempts to break the law again and steal a third election.

Mel Moseley is a storyteller, writer, actor, musician, mosaic/mixed-media artist, and fledgling witch at Mel’s Messy Love Lab. She lives with her black cat, Shadow, mostly off-grid in Fiddletown, CA. Carrie Kaufman is a journalist, radio host, performer, pain-in-the-ass mouthy woman. She has done a lot, achieved a fair amount, and has little money to show for it. But she does have two kick-ass daughters who know their worth.
Our mystery guest has traveled far to grace us with her appearance today. “Travel? From where?” you ask, “It’s all virtual.” Well. There’s virtual, and then there’s distance we can’t even begin to imagine. Trust me. It took a lot to get her here. To get her to say yes. She’s got an important story to share. A message we need to hear.
Jen Knox is author of The Resilient Creative. She believes in failing with panache and then writing about it. A true Midwesterner, Jen’s a fan of dry humor, potlucks, shady-looking breakfast nooks, and traveling as often as possible. She writes beneath a willow tree somewhere east of Columbus, Ohio.

At 14, Jennifer was a professional actress–by 28 she was touring in a musical and performing off Broadway. In her thirties she got hooked on writing, because she could play all the parts, plus direct and produce, all without going on a single audition. Suki Wessling stole the domain name for The Babblery from her teenage son, then had to figure out what to do with it. She only knew it suited her inability to focus on one particular subject. Suki is a writer, teacher, radio host, and musician.

She recently discovered that she’s lusted for the spotlight since childhood, so now she’s making up for lost time!
